About – New Dawn Management

Hello & Welcome

After working in a foundry for many years, our owner and founder, Dawn Banner spent 19 years at BSI as a third party auditor and later as the Product Manager for Automotive and Sustainable Events for the EMEA region. During this time, she audited thousands of businesses against a whole host of standards and saw what good looked like and unfortunately some that were not so good! This got her thinking about consultancy and who would be better to design a management system than someone who has seen all the pitfalls and the successes that other businesses have made and use that experience to help her clients? It was during a round of redundancies that she finally took the plunge and New Dawn Management Ltd was born in December 2020. Dawn still keeps her relationship with BSI to this day, as an associate consultant and trainer, and also helping them with updating their training materials to ensure they remain at the cutting edge. She also works with other consultancy businesses, providing training and consultancy services on their behalf.

Qualifications & Experience

What Do I Know?

IATF 16949

The passport to do business within the automotive industry. Based on the requirements of ISO9001, additional requirements have been added by the IATF (a powerful group of Automotive manufacturers and traders). It is notoriously difficult to achieve but if you become certified to IATF 16949 you are part of an elite number of less than 500 businesses in the UK and this gives you a huge advantage over your non-certified competitors. The standard goes hand in hand with the core tools (Control Plan, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC and PPAP). As experts in this area, New Dawn Management Ltd can get you on the road to certification.

ISO 9001

The minimum level of certification for many businesses. This demonstrates to your customers that you care about the quality of the product that you provide to them and have the systems in place to continually meet their requirements and improve your processes. New Dawn Management Ltd can help you get to that level through expert training and consultancy.

ISO 14001

This environmental standard demonstrates to your customers that you care about your local environment and are keen to leave only a positive impact from your actions. Demonstrating compliance can also bring down your insurance premiums with certain providers. ISO 14001 is all about minimising waste, whether that be time, energy, materials, etc, so it should pay for itself with the cost savings it brings. ISO 20121

Under Dawn’s stewardship at BSI, this standard took on a new lease of life and continues to grow to this day. Originally written to ensure that only a positive legacy remained from the London 2012 Olympics, it is used by many sporting organisations and events organisers to demonstrate their commitment to the sustainability of their events today.
